Mamakating Autumn Festival on Sat., Oct. 22

WURTSBORO — On Saturday, October 22 at the Mamakating Environmental Education Center, 762 South Rd, Wurtsboro, the Autumn Festival takes place from 12 noon to 5 p.m. The festival is being held to celebrate Native American culture and Woodland skills. The festival will feature The Red Feather Singers and Drummers. 

Learn Native American dance steps, kids crafts will include corn husk doll and beaded bracelet making. 

There will be two fire bow workshops at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m., where one can learn how to make and use a fire bow. The workshop is for ages 10 and up, pre-registration is required. Children must have an adult accompany them.
