Margaret A. McCauley of Monticello, NY, passed away Monday, November 30, 2020, at Highland Rehab and Nursing Facility in Middletown, NY.

Born in 1945 in The Bronx, NY to Phillip and Margaret Calderella, Margaret attended James Monroe High School in The Bronx. She then worked for Hills Bros. Supermarkets, where she received accolades and many customer service awards.

Margaret had a unique gift of creativity—interested in fashion design at a young age. She married Edward Gerard Eack in 1962 when she began her real career as a devoted wife and mother. Summers spent with her sons and friends on White Lake's London Cottages were some of her most cherished memories.

In 1980 she married John McCauley, and they moved to Monticello, NY. She gave full-time loving care to her husband's father, George, for many years. She loved being a full-time wife and mother, and cat mom to her beloved kitty, Harry. She was a fantastic cook—always going above and beyond in making the everyday meals and birthdays truly special for her loved ones.

She was preceded in death by her sister Barbara Jean Amato and her husband, John McCauley. Margaret is survived by her son Eddie and wife Jeanmarie, son Anthony and wife Linda, her beloved grandchildren Justin, Cassie, and Erica, and sisters Mary Lou Conover and Phyllis Maria Asztalos.

Memorial plans announced at a later date.
