Margaret Minckler of Long Eddy, NY a retired clerk for the US Postal Service and a long time area resident, died Tuesday, May 12, 2020 at her home. She was 81.

The daughter of the late Arthur and Margaret Walsh Foster, she was born March 30, 1939 in Brooklyn, NY.

Margaret enjoyed crafting, gardening, sewing and baking wedding cakes. She loved her grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband of 61 years Gerald C. Minckler, Sr. at home; one son, Gerald C. Minckler, Jr. and his wife Connie of Long Eddy, NY; four daughters, Darlene Kurtz and her husband John of Cochecton, NY, Diane Carpenter of Owego, NY, Deborah Arnold and her husband Alan of Long Eddy, NY, and Denise Smestad and her husband Erik of Long Eddy, NY; three sisters, Carol Hofsommer and her husband Joe of Kenoza Lake, NY, Diane McClure and her husband Greg of Pine Bush, NY, and Arlene Nannery of Binghamton, NY; nine grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be private.
