Mary Louise Patt, of Monticello, New York, went home to be with the Lord on May 14, 2025.
Mary was born in Bay Minette, Alabama, to the late Elvin Jake Valree and Christine Valree, on November 26, 1941. She is the oldest of seven children born to this union.
Mary was a longtime member of the Calvary Church in Monticello, New York.
Mary Patt is survived by her four children: Elvin Valree (Rose) of Yonkers, NY, Patrick Valree (Len) of North Plainsfield, NJ, Ronald Valree (Tina) of Woodridge, NY, Christopher Patt (LaShaun) of Bronx, NY; a surrogate daughter Kaya Gips (Corey) of Mongaup Valley, NY; five sisters and brothers: Fannie Hewlett (Jessee), Jimmie Valree (Barbara), Christiana Bracy (Jimmie-surrogate brother), Roosevelt (Yolanda); two God-children: Tameca Alli and Corolyn Merchant Ward. A host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family members and friends.
She was predeceased by her husband Nathaniel Patt, whom she loved dearly; her brother Elvin Jake Valree, Jr; and her maternal grandmother.
The love that she shared with all of us, from her heart, will live on in us and help us heal, as well remember her. Love will keep us together.
A visitation will be held from 10am to 12pm on Friday, May 30, 2025 at Colonial Memorial Funeral Home, 396 State Route 52, Woodbourne, NY 12788. A funeral service will be held at 12pm at the funeral home. Burial to follow at Rock Ridge Cemetery, Monticello, NY.
