With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Marylou Mullally Kohler, a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend on May 29, 2025 at the age of 67.
The daughter of William and Dorothy Mullally, she was born on March 11, 1958 in Callicoon NY.
On May 6, 1978 she married her soulmate, Robert J. Kohler and they started building their lives. Brick by brick, board by board they built their home together and started a family.
Marylou wore many hats over the years from working at Eddies Famous Foods, Jeff-Youngsville School, Jeff Pharmacy and private health care. In her younger years she was involved in girl scouts, PTA, and all of the school functions supporting her children. She was a member of St. Georges church in Jeffersonville NY. Her catholic religion was very important to her and a day wouldn’t go by without a prayer. Whenever some troubles hit either herself or someone she loved she would always turn to prayer saying “Let go and let God!”
Marylou was a kind, thoughtful and caring woman. No matter how bad her day was or how much pain she was in she always worried first about everyone else. Always checking in on her loved ones and asking if she can help in any way.
She had a wonderful sense of Irish humor that would have an entire room laughing.
She was preceded in death by her son Kenneth Kohler and survived by her loving husband Robert Kohler, daughter Carissa Kohler (Darryl), son Michael Kohler, grandchildren Aiden Tambascio, Kiley Tambascio, Riley Emmett and Ethan Kohler. Her loving sisters Nancy Kutschera (Tom), Margaret “Peggy” Share (Jim), nieces: Susie Balfour, Sheri Paruki, Lisa Zombo, and Jamie Sanchez. nephew: William “Bill” Share and many grandnieces and nephews. She is also survived by an amazing group of friends that have become family that we are forever grateful for.
Marylou’s wish was to not make a fuss after her departure. As hard as that is for her family, we have to respect her wishes.
