Mask Effectiveness

To the editor:

I just looked up the latest information from the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) regarding the effectiveness of masks in preventing the spread of COVID. In the lab, masks are very effective at blocking virus-sized particles, but they say that real-world effectiveness has not been widely studied.

However, according to a February 2022 CDC report of a study in California from February to December 2021, “Consistent use of a face mask or respirator in indoor public settings was associated with lower odds of a positive SARS-CoV-2 test result…” And obviously the best masks were associated with the most protection.

So if I have to choose between believing people quoted in the newspaper, doctors or not, who say that masks are of no value, and a report from the CDC saying they are, I’ll take the CDC every time.

The CDC said the original shots would take care of the infection.

Then said that they lost effectiveness after 6 months.

They say you need a booster.

Now you need a nd booster.

Soon it will be a monthly shot, but you believe the CDC when they keep changing their minds.

Next it will be all caused by the shot.
