Maynard W. Schmidt of Jeffersonville, NY retired owner of Schmidtty’s Oil Burner Service died on Monday, September 27, 2021 at Achieve Nursing and Rehab Center, Liberty, NY. He was 90. The son of the late Fred and Blanche Proper Schmidt he was born August 6, 1931 in Hudson, NY. He was married to Shirley Nielsen Schmidt. Mrs. Schmidt passed away in 2001. Maynard was a US Army Veteran.

He is survived by his children Tammie Vargas and her husband Wilson of Kenoza Lake, NY, Amy Bernhardt and her husband William of Kenoza Lake, NY, Sandra Boyd and her husband Craig of Briscoe, NY, Fred Schmidt and his wife Marlene of Jeffersonville, NY, and Crystal McFarland and her husband Sean of Maine, and his daughter-in-law Heidi Schmidt of Jeffersonville, NY, and by his sister Rose Stenros of Montana, 14 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren and 4 nephews.

In addition to his wife Shirley, Maynard was predeceased by his son Maynard Schmidt.
