Michael E. Decker of Roscoe, NY, owner of Decker Construction and Decker Deer Cutting in Roscoe, died Saturday, March 20, 2021 at his home. He was 60.

The son of the late Robert and Mildred Welch Decker, he was born July 13, 1960 in Liberty, NY.

Mike was a lifelong area resident and was a longtime member and Past Chief of the Roscoe-Rockland Fire Department.

Survivors include his wife, Dawn M. Houck Decker, at home; a son, Duane Edelglass and his wife Melissa of Texas; four daughters, Amanda Armstead and her husband Ellan of Glen Ellen, VA, Megan Decker and her significant other, Sheryl Pinder of Liberty, NY, Erin Decker of Mechanicsville, VA and Justine Decker and her significant other Peter Hover of Selkirk, NY; three sisters, Jill Somers and her husband Russ, Melanie Fersch (his twin) and her husband Tom, and Jodi Mootz; one brother, Jack Decker and his wife Rhonda; thirteen grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents, one brother, Benjamin “Butch” Decker and two sisters, Barbara Bronson and Diane Terwilliger.

Visitation will be Thursday, March 25, 2021 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM in the Harris Funeral Home, Railroad Ave., Roscoe, NY.

Firematic services will be conducted by the Roscoe-Rockland Fire Department Thursday evening at 7 PM in the funeral home.

Burial will be private in the Riverview Cemetery, Roscoe, NY.
