Patricia Ann Grey of Grahamsville passed away on January 21, 2022 at home surrounded by her family. She was 83.
She was the daughter of the late Wilson Vanwagner and Ruth Keator, born on January 22, 1938 in Kingston, NY.
Pat was a military wife to James and she loved the lifestyle. This entailed traveling when needed and moving several times. She had a true knack for entertaining and hosting gatherings throughout the years. Pat enjoyed the outdoors and everything it had to offer. She liked fishing, hunting and camping. When Pat was younger she loved cooking and baking; fudge and chocolate chip cookies were always on the menu. She enjoyed bowling, painting and most importantly spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They brought her a lot of happiness and joy. She had a special love for animals, especially dogs and horses. She will truly be missed by everyone that knew and loved her.
She is survived by her children Scott Grey and his wife Diana, Cheryl Bertholf and her husband James, Regina Lambert and her husband Jay, her grandchildren Kevin Bertholf and his wife Alyssa, Ryan Barkley and his wife Ashley, Casey Grey and his wife Katie, Patty Hinton and her husband John, Chris Grey and his wife Nicole, Garrett Grey and his wife Alexis and Brianna Comando and her husband Joseph, her great-grandchildren, Katelynn, Levi, Gracie, Hunter, Zaylon, Jamie, Lilian, Aurora, and Della Scott, her siblings Helen “Toot” Clark, and Connie Matthews and her husband Thomas, many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends. She was predeceased by her devoted husband James Grey and her great-granddaughter Lela Jo.
There will be a visitation on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at Colonial Memorial Funeral Home, 396 State Route 52, Woodbourne, NY 12788 from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. A funeral service will begin at the funeral home at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Grahamsville Rural Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Hospice of Orange and Sullivan Counties, c/o Friends of Elizabeth, 800 Stony Brook Court, Newburgh, NY 12550.
