Patrick (Pat) A. Peake, passed away February 1, 2021 at the age of 60. Pat was born in Long Eddy, NY to Francis & Kathryn (Milk) Peake. He was the youngest of 8 children.

Patrick was predeceased by his parents, wife, Darlene Rake-Peake, sister, Victoria Brigham, and 2 brothers, Bruce Peake and Phillip Peake.

Pat graduated with the class of ‘78 from Delaware Valley Central School with the title ‘Prom King' under his belt. He had long, brown curly hair and these bright blue eyes that anyone would agree, were iconic. Pat delighted in his martial arts skills in his younger years. Tossing around nunchucks or throwing a kick that reached the rafters was something you had to see. As far as leg wrestling, it didn't matter how big or talented you were, you were getting flipped. He took great pride in traveling for work with some of his closest friends and family. He was one of THEE best operators. These days he often went to the Long Eddy Hotel where he met up with friends for lunch and cocktails. He loved taking care of his neighbors after a snowfall. He'd plow them all out while listening to ‘The Cars', volume on high! He loved his western movies, Carhartt's, and his faithful dog, Goober. After he retired, Pat loved the simple things like cooking and his garden was always tended to. He still spent countless hours with friends, laughing and reminiscing on the good ol' days. Watching his grandchildren grow up put a little sparkle in his eye.

Pat appreciated his time as a volunteer firefighter with the Long Eddy Hose Co. and working alongside his brother at Peake Excavating. He spent several years working for Tompkins Bluestone. He ended his working career with local Union 825 Operating Engineers. He remained a lifelong member.

Pat is lovingly remembered by his son, Justin Patrick Peake of Jackson, PA, his 2 daughters, Karina Lee (Peake) Newman and Mark Newman of Blossvale, NY and Hillary Jo Peake and Lawrence Schenck of Long Eddy, NY, stepchildren Tyler and Ali Rake of Nokomis, FL and Cory Rake of Syracuse, NY, 10 grandchildren, Braelyn, Gianna, Kamryn, Kayla, Patrick, Nicholas, Emilee, Lawrence, Mia, and Lennon, brothers Gary Peake of Long Eddy, NY and Eddie and Orachan Peake of Pulaski, NY, sisters Connie Moran of Cummings, GA, and Teresa Creech of Lake Ariel, PA, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins!

Due to Covid there will be a private family service on Thursday, February 4, 2021. There will be a Celebration of Life at a later date.

In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Long Eddy Hose Co, P.O. Box 73, Long Eddy, NY 12760.
