ESPN+ will be the exclusive, direct-to-consumer home of PGA TOUR LIVE as part of the PGA TOUR’s new, nine-year domestic rights agreement announced last week.

PGA TOUR LIVE on ESPN+ will launch in 2022, delivering to golf fans more than 4,000 hours of live coverage from 36 tournaments a year, including a full four days of coverage at 28 events with four simultaneous live feeds each day. PGA TOUR LIVE on ESPN+ will also feature on-demand replays of PGA TOUR events, original golf programs, edited speed round recaps and more.

The PGA TOUR’s digital streaming rights were negotiated concurrently with its linear and emerging technology offerings,creating a wide-ranging portfolio of domestic media rights for 2022 through 2030, including Comcast/ NBA Sports Group and ViacomCBS, along with The Walt Disney Company’s ESPN+, the leading direct-to-consumer sports streaming service from Disney’s Direct- to-Consumer and International (DTCI) segment and ESPN.

PGA TOUR LIVE on ESPN+ will be available to ESPN+ subscribers as part of the base subscription, which is available through the ESPN App on mobile and connected devices, ESPN.com or ESPNplus.com. It is also available as part of a bundle offer that gives subscribers access to Disney plus Hulu at a discounted price.

Remembering the years watching the great professional Joe Turnesa giving golf lessons at Grossinger’s and then going out on caddie day (the day caddies could play all the golf they could get in for free) at the golf course trying to put this knowledge to work.

I remember well professionals talking about three crucial golf moves.
One tip that is continually stressed is that one must, in the downswing, get your head behind the ball at impact. Poor golfers have their heads and upper bodies lunge forward and get ahead of the ball at impact
Keep working on getting your head and eyes behind where the ball was at impact...even after the ball has been launched.

If there is one critical or magic move in golf the magic move is to begin your down swing by simultaneously letting your weight shift to your left foot while bringing your right elbow back into your body…this is one move not two and is the proper move for right-handed golfers.

Professionals always stress the fact that a critical move in the take away is a simple visual tip which will assist any golfer who practices it.

Take it away slow…the typical golfers will improve greatly if they take the club away from the ball slowly and with soft hands. Hold the club softly, and remember that the first two feet of your takeaway can hardly be slow enough.

The average golfer snatches the club away from the ball with tight hands and arms and the club whips inside the ball too fast.

Remember these three tips…1. Perfect Your Posture, 2. Find Your Grip, 3. Determine Your Tempo.
