Plein Air Milford set for June 25

MILFORD, PA — The fifth annual Plein Air Milford is providing artists and art lovers another chance to celebrate the historic buildings, parks, gardens, and streetscapes of one of Pennsylvania’s most charming towns.

The community painting party will take place on June 25, with a reception and exhibit on July 9.

Artists will meet to sign in at 10 AM on the porch at 403 Broad Street.  Then artists will spread out to any area of interest to create.  Event organizers will find registered artists around noon to deliver a box lunch, courtesy of Tom Quick Inn.

So much is historic – but so much is new.  Artists will be celebrating at, and painting some of the same old buildings, but many of them are owned by brand new people.

“Our reception has always been so warm,” explains one of the organizers.  “I was expecting people to say ‘hey, stop blocking up the sidewalk’, but instead they take pictures of us, ask us about our work, and bring us coffee.”

Artists' completed work will be on display on July 9, from 1 - 4 PM at the Green Room at the Tom Quick Inn.  The reception will include a wine tasting, cheese board, mini sweet treats, and a cash bar.

This is a free event, but pre-registration is required.
