Ribbon cut on new diner

Posted

On Saturday, March 19 the Greater Barryville Chamber of Commerce and local community members gathered to hold a ribbon cutting opening celebration for The Barryville Diner.

The Diner is now under the management of the Brown Brothers Group, a family that has a long history in the community.

The interior of the old diner has been completely gutted and renovated with a fresh look and some of the old booths have been removed and tables and chairs added and with new lighting the space is now comfortable with more seating. The outside area has two covered decks for additional seating.

The Diner is now serving a full breakfast and lunch menu from 7 a.m.-3 p.m. and a dinner service with a bar will be added next month.

In two weeks, the ice cream service will begin and features a variety of hard ice cream and soft serve and a full line of classic shakes, cones, toppings, other ice cream specialty items and vegan ice cream options.

According to Sonia Brown, the Project Manager at the Brown Brothers Group, “I know that everything has gotten really expensive especially food, but we offer an excellent menu with the freshest ingredients and a lot of variety.”

The Barryville Diner is located at 3358 Route 97 at State Route 55 in Barryville, and you can reach them on Facebook or at 845-456-0151.
