Ribbon cut on Restorative Management

Posted

Community members, local and elected officials and more were on hand for a ribbon cutting celebrating Restorative Management Corp.’s new clinic location at 64 Jefferson Street, Suite 2 in Monticello on Friday.

It’s the for-profit outpatient chemical dependency treatment and drug counseling provider’s first location in Sullivan County, as they also have clinics in Middletown, Newburgh and Port Jervis.

Friday’s ribbon cutting was facilitated by the Sullivan County Chamber of Commerce and had several speakers including: Restorative Management Executive Director Jeffrey Spitz; Sullivan County Division of Health and Human Services Commissioner John Liddle; Sullivan County Division of Health and Human Services Deputy Commissioner and Sullivan County Drug Task Force Co-Chair Wendy Brown; District Attorney and Drug Task Force Co-Chair Meagan Galligan; NYS Office of Addiction Services and Supports (OASAS) Lower Hudson Valley Regional Coordinator Lisa Robideau and Sullivan County Chamber of Commerce President/CEO Jaime Schmeiser.

“To be part of the community and work with the providers and offer the services that we do and really be part of [Sullivan County] has been a long journey that we’ve been planning for,” said Spitz. “We’re so happy to finally have our doors open to be able to provide these services.”

Robideau said OASAS realized that there is a great need for additional services in Sullivan County, specifically with the opioid epidemic. She added that Restorative Management has been a longstanding partner for OASAS with their three clinics in Orange County.

“They serve hundreds of people per year and we know that this addition will greatly serve the Sullivan County community,” she said.

Liddle said the County is glad to have Restorative Management and add them to their “portfolio of services that are so needed in this County.”

“We are climbing a very steep hill in Sullivan County, but we’re definitely climbing, and that’s the most important message for everybody to know. This community is doing a lot together to make things better,” said Liddle.
