Richard Jack Schmidt of Jeffersonville, NY, owner of ASA Precision, died on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at New York Presbyterian Hospital. He was 55 years old. The son of the late Armin and Anneliese Schmidhofer Schmidt, he was born April 19, 1967 in Liberty, NY. 

Rich was an avid hunter and golfer. He was a member of the Sioux Hunting Club, and golfed in the Tuesday and Wednesday Golf League. 

He is survived by his two daughters Cortney Schmidt and Montana Schmidt, and his mother-in-law, Judy Millsaps, who he was incredibly close to. 

Rich was an incredible father, a great friend, he was generous and kind to anyone he came in contact with, and he always knew how to make someone laugh.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Linda Schmidt, and his grandparents, Jacob & Anna Schmidhofer .

Calling hours were on Sunday, October 2, 2022 from 2 to 5 PM at Stewart-Murphy Funeral Home Jeffersonville, NY. A service followed at 5  PM at the Funeral Home.
