Bob, age 74, of New Smyrna Beach, FL returned to the Lord on February 6, 2021. Born in Callicoon, NY on January 9, 1947 to the late Claude and Elizabeth (Tempel) Chapman, he was raised in Roscoe with his older sister June Ann (Lake), who also predeceased him.

Bob lived a full, meaningful life enriched by his family, profession, and community service. He was Dad and Papa to son Rob (Sherry) Chapman and their children Taylor and Tori, and to daughter Traci (Gary) Myers and their children Dani and Nic. He was also a loving partner and companion to his best friend Flora Mae Francisco for 26 years. He was a loving friend to many.

He was a communicant of the Gate of Heaven Catholic Church, attended St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Roscoe Central School, Sullivan County Community College and Parson College attaining degrees in Accounting, Business Management and Finance.

Bob was an agent and sales manager for Prudential Insurance for 20 years, operated a local general store, “Dreher's of Roscoe” for 20 years, and employed with Orange-Ulster BOCES as Athletic Sports Coordinator and of the Western Sullivan League. A social individual, he made new friends wherever he lived and worked.

He was a former President, Treasurer, Fire Commissioner and is an Honorary Member of the Roscoe Fire Department. He was a former member and treasurer of The Roscoe Kiwanis Club and a past member of the Liberty Elks Lodge # 1545. He was a member and former treasurer of the Methol Hunting Club.

He had served his community as District Treasurer of the Roscoe Central School and a Councilman for the Town of Rockland. Service to his country includes duty with the Army National Guard unit based in Walton, NY and MOLC instructor for the Army Reserve unit based in Binghamton, NY attaining the rank of Staff Sergeant.

Bob also enjoyed his 37-year sports career officiating football, volleyball and track and field. He served as Vice-President of the Southern Catskill Track Officials Association and President and Honorary Life Time Member of the Central Hudson Valley Football Officials Association.

A Celebration of Life will be held on June 26, 2021 in Sullivan County, NY (Details to be announced). A private Mass for Family will be held at the Gate of Heaven Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Bob's name may be made to a charity of one's choice.
