LIVINGSTON MANOR – The Rockland Central School District is excited to reveal its official mascot logo to represent the Rockland Wolves.
The logo design process was a collaborative effort and included the input of students, staff, parents and community members. In June, the board adopted the wolves mascot and the district invited the entire Rockland community to submit mascot logo concept or design ideas. The Rockland Branding Work Group, a group comprised of student, staff, parents and community representatives, then voted to determine the top submissions.
Throughout the summer, the Rockland Branding Work Group worked with a graphic design studio, Dan Donohue Design, to develop a mascot logo. The logo was inspired by the design ideas voted on by the branding work group and designed to represent strength, pride and resilience. Finalized by the branding work group in late August, the mascot logo was adopted by the board of education at its September 2 meeting.
“I would like to thank our students and school community for their valuable input in shaping the new visual identity of our district,” said Superintendent of Schools John Evans. “As we move forward, better together for better tomorrows, we are excited to embrace this new chapter and continue building a strong, unified and proud community as the Rockland Wolves.”
