SCVA announces new travel guide

FERNDALE — The Sullivan Catskills Visitors Association (SCVA) is pleased to announce that the 2023 Travel Guide is printed and ready for distribution.

The 2023 Sullivan Catskills Travel Guide highlights where to go, what to see, where to eat, and more in the region. The well-designed print edition is perfect for travelers on the go, and allows users to easily find what they are looking for.

“Our Travel Guide is the preeminent guide for the Catskills, affording our residents and visitors up-to-date and valuable information,” remarked SCVA President/CEO Roberta Byron-Lockwood. “Not only is it useful, but it is beautifully designed and thoughtfully crafted telling our story as a place to stay, explore, and have fun.”

The printed Travel Guide is displayed at major hubs such as rest areas on highways, the metro New York region, neighboring states, and Stewart Airport as well as businesses throughout the Sullivan Catskills. Additionally, it is distributed at trade and travel shows including international and domestic consumer, trade, motor coach and corporate shows, golf shows, and the Outdoor Adventure Show. It is the official response tool for marketing and advertising efforts.

“We print 100,000 copies of the award-winning Travel Guide annually and they fly out the door,” stated Byron-Lockwood. “In this digital world, people still love to hold something in their hands.”

New this year, the Travel Guide features more images and an editorial feel, with the intention of driving readers to the Sullivan Catskills website and Sullivan Catskills Go! app where they can find more information in planning their itinerary.

The Travel Guide is also available in full digitally on the Sullivan Catskills website, www.sullivancatskills.com/brochures.

Featured on this year’s cover is a stunning photo from The Farmhouse Project’s Terrain and Table dinner series at Seminary Hill Cidery in Callicoon, NY, taken by Studio Brinson. With the tagline “Go!” it represents where today’s travelers want to go and explore—somewhere unique with beautiful natural scenery.

Travel Guides are available to be picked up at the SCVA office at 15 Sullivan Ave., Liberty, NY 12754.
