JEFFERSONVILLE - Taking place on Saturday, Septem- ber 10 at 4:00 pm. Enjoy 3 hours of peace and music. We all know how good being in nature can make us feel. The sounds of the forest, the scent of the trees, the sunlight playing through the leaves, the fresh, clean air — these things give us a sense of com- fort. They ease our stress and help us relax and think more clearly. Being in nature can restore our mood, give us back our energy and vitality, refresh and rejuvenate us.

In Japan, we practice some- thing called forest bathing, or shinrin-yoku. Shinrin in- Japanese means “forest,” and yoku means “bath.” So shinrinyoku means bathing in the forest atmosphere, or taking in the forest through our senses.

Shinrinyoku is like a bridge connecting with nature through our senses of sight, hearing, taste, smell and touch. By opening our senses, it bridges the gap between us and the natural world.

This concert will be taking place at Momoglobalflowers Farm, 414 Swiss Hill Road, Jeffersonville. The cost for attendance is a $20 donation. RSVP is required, those in- terested can do so via e-mail; kayamagee@me.com or tele- phone; 908-489-0665.
