St. Baldrick’s Day continues fight for a cure

Posted

ELDRED –– The  St. Baldricks Day fundraiser was held on September 11 in Eldred. September is National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and the local community turned out for the day’s events.

Heads were shaved, the Bake Sale was a hit selling out and the raffle table was busy all day.

So far this year, local business owner and event organizer, Lou Monteleone,  has managed to raise $8,000 as he inches closer to his 17-year goal of $200,000 for the St. Baldrick’’s Foundation mission of finding a cure for pediatric cancer.

If you would like to donate, go to the St. Baldrick’s page on Facebook or go into The Corner Shop in Eldred.
