Sullivan Catskills Fall Foliage Report

October 8-10, 2021

Hi, it’s Isabel, your official Leaf Peeper™ (a totally-not-made-up title) for the Sullivan Catskills here to give you the weekly Fall Foliage Report.
The leaves are starting burst into delightful displays of color. You’ll see greens turning into crimson reds, golden yellows, and vibrant oranges. It’s the best time of year (but as a reminder… winter is coming).
You’ll want to head out for a scenic drive to take in all the sights, and along the way check out some of these amazing events coming up this weekend.
The Big Sip at Bethel Woods Center for the Arts is a beverage lover’s dream. This two-day festival will feature samplings from the finest wineries, breweries and distilleries in our region, as well as offer food and live music. The Callicoon Art Walk will be held on Saturday and features local artists’ work on display around town. Stop by for this popular artful event.
Also on Saturday, listen to the beautiful music of Vivaldi during the Four Seasons presented at The Catskill Art Society in Livingston Manor. Then head over to the Hurleyville Performing Arts Centre for the Indigenous Women’s Voices Summit Festival and Exhibition on display now through November 7.
And start to get into the Halloween spirit with three spooky and fun events. Haunted House Tours at the Rivoli Theater begin this weekend, presented by the Sullivan County Dramatic Workshop, and the Forestburgh Playhouse presents the annual Rocky Horror Picture Show Live. If you dare, do a walk through at Burn Brae Mansion’s Halloween Fright Walk in the Dark Forest.
There’s so much to do and see here in the Sullivan Catskills, but don’t worry we’ll be back next Friday with another Fall Foliage Report.
