Tarry Brae, Tennanah Lake champions crowned

SULLIVAN COUNTY -- Rewards and golf league championships have been announced by both the Tarry Brae Tuesday Men's league and the Tennanah Lake Thursday Men's league.

2020 league champions of the 13-team Tuesday Men's League at the Town of Fallsburg Tarry Brae Golf Course are Dave Kawauchi and Jeff Altbach.

Second place was won by John Sauchuk and Tom Martin, third place champions are Rich and Jerry Johnson and fourth place was captured by Dan Yaun and Stan Gilmore.

Other teams competing in this year's league included Dave Bonsick and Gary Cassaveh, Luis Delacruz and Kevin Garcia, Joe Flores and Mike Kukas, Kevin Mullen and Doug Rohrback, Preston Polluck and Cliff Carey, Brian Collette and Tarig Iqbal, Bob Simpson and Terry Wolcott, Matt Stoddard and Mike Kurshetsky and Bruce Aymes and Elliott Schneider.

Final regular league standings before the playoffs began were Delacruz/Garcia, Yaun/Gilmore, Aymes/Schneider, Bonsick/Cassaveh, Pollock/Carey, Johnson/Johnson, Simpson/Wolcott, Collete/Iqbal, Kawauchi/Altbach, Flores/Kukas, Mullen/Rohrback, Stoddard/Kushetsky.

Tennanah Lake

Champions for 2020 of the 14-team Tennanah Lake Golf & Tennis Club are Dave Calkin and Craig Schumacker with second place going to Terry Wolcott and Merlin Brock.

Originally at the start of the league Terry Wolcott was teamed up with Paul Stock but as a result of an injury sustained by Stock, Merlin Brock played every round with Wolcott.

Other teams competing in this year's league included Ryan Edwards and Justin Bowers, Pete Johnston and Gary Cassevah, Dan DeVantier and Pat Mershon, Bret and Bryce Reimer, Frank McGreevy and Nick Estabrook, Jason Nogin and Ben Giordano, Jim Walsh and Bob Simpson, Collin Tallman and Tom Roseo, Fred Tucker and Bill Hass, Kurt Selbert and Andy Bury, Joey Bowers and Kevin Green and Kurt Buddenhagen and Troy Parucki.

Final regular league standings before the playoffs began were Mershon/DeVantier with 173 points, Tallman/Roseo with 167 points, Calkin/Schumacker with 166.5 points, Cassevah/Johnston with 165.5 points, Reimer/Reimer with 163.5 points, Walsh/Simpson with 162 points, McGreevy/Estabrook with 160.5 points, Wolcott/Brock 160 points, Giordano/Nogin with 160 points, Bowers/Edwards with 151.5 points, Seibert/Bury with 149.5 points, Hass/Tucker with 144 points, Green/Bowers with 137.5 points and Parucki/Buddenhagen with 133.5 points.
