When reading from Thomas Industrial Marketing & Manufacturing Blog they state that bottled water sales are massive and that total sales were $11.8 billion in the early 2000’s.

You can find bottled water in vending machines, supermarkets and just about anywhere.

A number of years ago this writer did insurance surveys and a very interesting survey I did for one insurance company was a water bottling company in upstate New York who sold the water mostly in the northeast.

I was amazed at that time to see the total sales figures…wow I thought selling bottled water is a pretty good business to be in.

So, I am thinking why is a business like this bringing in such profits?

Researching the bottled water business the Center For Disease Control and Prevention in 2020 noted our supply of water is “one of the safest” in the world.

But further investigation from so-called experts say that tap water isn’t always as clean as it may appear.

Kenton Jones, a water specialist through the Water Quality Association stated, “we see water contamination issues everywhere.”

A report by the National Resources Defense Council, a nonprofit agency group that analyzed drinking water between June 2016 and May 2019, found that nearly 40 percent of the population received their water from systems that violated the Safe Drinking Water Act.

With statements like this it clearly shows why bottled water is so popular.
