Thomas E. Hasbrouck of Liberty, NY, a retired Produce Manager for Great American, and a lifelong area resident died Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at Garnet Health - Catskills in Harris, NY.  He was 80.

The son of the late Donald V. "Footsie" and Vivian A. Martin Hasbrouck, he was born February 14, 1941 in Liberty, NY.

Tom was a Communicant of St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church in Liberty, he was a member for over 60 years and Past Chief of the Liberty Hose Truck Company # 2, a member of the Royal Order of the Red Vests, a member and Past President of the Sullivan County Volunteer Firefighters Association, a member of the Hudson Valley Firemen's Association.  He was a thirty-two year Public Servant; elected as a Village of Liberty Trustee, a Town of Liberty Councilman and served as a Deputy Mayor for the Village and a Deputy Supervisor for the Town.  He was a member of the Town of Liberty Republican Committee.

Survivors include his sister, Vicki Wood and her husband Matt of Claryville, NY; one uncle, Allie Hasbrouck and his wife Kathy of Liberty, NY; three nephews and two nieces, Chris Hummel and his companion Trish, Pennie Conkling, Craig Hummel, Alan Price, and Jennifer McPhillips and her husband Brian; many great-nieces, nephews and cousins.  He was predeceased by a devoted and loving sister, JoAnn H. Hummel.

Firematic Services will be conducted by the Liberty Hose Truck Co. # 2 on Saturday, February 12, 2022 at 10 AM in the Harris Funeral Home West Street at Buckley, Liberty, NY. 

Funeral services will follow the firematic service Saturday morning at the funeral home.  Father Edward Bader will officiate.

Visitation will continue Saturday, February 12, 2022 after the funeral service until 2 PM.

Burial will be in the St. Peter's Cemetery, Liberty, NY, in the spring.

Memorial contributions in Tom's name made be made to the Liberty Hose Truck # 2, 256 Sprague Ave., Liberty, NY 12754.
