It is with great sadness that the family of Thomas John Lemmerman announce his peaceful passing on Wednesday, May 19, 2021.

Tommy graduated from Monticello High School in 1987 and went on to receive his Associate Degree in Architecture from Orange County Community College and his Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from SUNY of Westbury. Tommy was employed by Sullivan County for 21 years, his last job title being Chief Fiscal Officer. He was proud of his professional accomplishments, and during this time, wonderful friendships blossomed with his colleagues. Tom also loved animals, especially his dogs. We all smiled when we thought about him reuniting with them - whether it was Blaze or Curly or Tigger - we can all be sure Tommy was happy to see them.

He is lovingly remembered by his mother, Cheree Blake Lemmerman of Coconut Creek, Florida; his father, John Lemmerman of Huntington, NY; his sister, Dawn Kortright and her son Joshua; and his brother, Robert Lemmerman and his children Evan and Sydney. TL/Curly will also be fondly remembered by his longtime friends, Jason Pantel, Peter Rolla and John Tataseo. Tom will also be sadly missed by his dear friend, Pam Polick.

Family and friends are invited to gather on Wednesday, May 26 at the VanInwegen-Kenny Funeral Home, 401 Broadway, Monticello between the hours of 2:00 and 4:00pm. Due to the current health crisis, social distancing guidelines must be met - a limited number of people at one time will be allowed in the funeral home and at the church, and facemasks are required.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial contributions be sent to the Sullivan County SPCA at 104 Rock Hill Drive, Rock Hill, NY 12775.

R.I.P. BROTHER. UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN.

Arrangements are under the direction of the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc. Funeral Home of Monticello. For additional information or to send an online condolence, please visit www.kennyfuneralhome.com.
