Timothy Francis Rogers of Hurleyville passed away peacefully due to complications from dementia on January 7, 2022 at the age of 62.

Tim was born on July 31, 1959 in Queens, NY, one of 11 children from Helen and John Rogers.

He grew up on Long Island where he developed his love of the beach, surf fishing, rock music and the Mets. He had a passion for attending concerts, sporting events, and spending time in nature. Tim graduated from SUNY Sullivan with a degree in Culinary Arts and went on to work at the Frost Valley YMCA and the Beaverkill Valley Inn. Later Tim returned to school graduating from SUNY Oneonta and received his Master’s from Penn State. Tim taught Home and Career classes at Rondout Valley for 20 years. He will be remembered for sharing his love of sports, music, camping and spending time on golf courses with his children. Camping and fishing trips to the Long Island beach and Catskill lakes were shared throughout his summers, including a PR 18 lb striped bass caught with a marshmallow and hikes to all but 2 of the Catskill 3500-ft peaks.

Tim leaves behind to cherish his memory, his sons Kyle R. Rogers of Newburgh, NY and Brady E. Rogers of Sidney, NY, their mother Mari Martin; his mother Helen; sisters Linda and Nancy; brothers Richard, Michael, Patrick, Dennis - and all their families.
