Treat your waitress with kindness

Welcome to the new world and going out to eat.

Coronavirus cases climb across the country and restaurants are bracing for possible new restrictions.

Thank God restaurants are remaining open but customers who come in expecting pre-pandemic service are not showing respect for others.

Wearing masks are more important then ever and it's for everyone's protection…the customer and the waitress who is waiting on you.

I know that everyone is not comfortable with wearing a mask.

And for customers just picking up an order it's important that you wear your mask.

Another important reminder for customers eating in the restaurant is to let the waitress or host sit you at your table…just don't walk in and sit yourself down.

Remember that the restaurant wants to make sure that everything has been properly sanitized so be a little patient…your waitress is working much harder these days to keep you safe.

Don't forget to write a tip when your picking up an order. Tips are not just for dine-in folks…remember the waitress is working just as hard putting together a take out order as they do for waiting on customers at their table.

Hey…it's tough on everyone…it's not the way we enjoy doing things but remember, the waitress staff deserve the courtesy…after all servers have absolutely nothing to do with the restrictions yet so many customers mouth off to those waiting on them.

Start the New Year off right… give the courtesy deserved for your waitress…they deserve an honest tip.
