TRI-VALLEY — On Friday, 1/13, Lion Esta Jacob of The Tri-Valley Lions presented Daniel Pierce Library Interim Director, Mikki Greene, with a donation check in the amount of $600. This donation has been an ongoing donation by the Tri-Valley Lions to the Library, and is a portion of the receipts the Lions earn at the Giant Pumpkin Party held in October at the Grahamsville Fairgrounds. The Library uses these donations for Special Projects including Childrens Hour at the Library. This donation by the Tri-Valley Lions is just one more example of how The Tri-Valley Lions support our community. Other community-minded donations include $500 each to 5 local church food pantries, donations to The Heart-A-Thon, vision screenings at Tri-Valley School for young children, Service Awards to Tri-Valley High School students, annual donation to R4/Trevor Loughlin Fund for Leukemia and Lymphoma, and so much more.
We can only do this with the help of our community folks who continue to support The Tri-Valley Lions at our Soda Booth at the Fairgrounds during multiple summer events, our Journey For Sight Walk & Tag Day, which will be held on May 6, at the First Aid Squad Building and Fairgrounds in Grahamsville, our Chocolate Easter Bunny Sales, and occasional raffle.
We are always looking for new members who are community-minded and love to help others. We meet the first Monday of each month at Casa Mia in Hurleyville. If you would like to consider becoming a member or joining us for one of our monthly meetings to get a better understanding of who we are and what we do, please contact any Lion member or Lion President Stephen Miller at 845-798-1981or email@example.com or Lion Stu Wizwer at 845-434-2152 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
