Jennifer Nolan from Narrowsburg was the first female from the 10K to cross the line, coming in at 42:33.

Erlwein and Ashley Weintraub ran together in high school and hadn’t seen each other for a long time until surprisingly finishing close in time at the Turtle Trot.

JEFFERSONVILLE – The runners were out on Saturday, July 9, as they toured around Kenoza Lake for the annual Turtle Trot 10K and 5K.

The warm and sunny day contributed to the high spirits as competitors gathered at the starting line.

Scott Roth, of Lancaster, PA, took first place in the 10K, clocking in at 36:08.5, just under four minutes ahead of the second place finisher Brendan Dwyer.

Tri-Valley runner, and member of the state championship winning cross-country team, Thomas Houghtaling, finished first in the 5K with an almost perfectly even time of 20:00.8.

There were 54 registered 10K runners, 37 5K runners, and 19 5K walkers that participated on Saturday.
