There has been no shortage of unanswered questions over the past couple years. Why has Covid-19 been allowed to ravage the world and kill millions? How and when will there ever be an end to all this, or will there ever be an end?

Then there are the many questions about the Covid vaccines. Do we get the vaccine or not? For those who choose not to be vaccinated, will they lose their jobs, will they have health care, or lose their ability to even shop? Will they have to pull their children out of school? How much further can the divide grow before we implode?

As we look at the world around us, there are so many more unanswered questions. Why has terrorism been allowed to thrive to the point that Christians are being hunted down and killed? Why have so many been taken captive in human trafficking, so many children abducted into these horrific circumstances? Why have we allowed millions of babies to be killed through abortion?

All these questions, and so many more, are on our lips and being heard wherever you turn. But now another question: what are the names we hear continually being spoken that go with these questions? Some include: Covid, Moderna, Pfizer, China, Afghanistan, Iraq, Haiti. Then there are the many names of political figures and the names we hear in news headlines and social media.

However, the one name that should be coming out of our mouths that would actually give us some answers is not heard as often. That name is Jesus. He alone has the answers to life. He alone is the hope of the world, the only hope we have for answers to all the upheaval, the chaos, the evil, the torment.

Besides the names we speak, what are the words we hear most often? We hear words of fear, anxiety, and worry; words of evil triumphing over good; words of death stealing so many lives too soon; hopeless words of despair, anger, hatred, blame. Yet where are the words that can change any of these things? Where are the words of faith and hope?

We need to start speaking words of life, such as our God is the God of the impossible. He is the God of miracles, the God of breakthrough, the God of healing. Jesus is the God who speaks peace to the storm, who spoke the very world into existence. He is the God of answers.

Our Father says, “Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you” (Jeremiah 29:12-14). John 6:68 (AMP) says, “Simon Peter answered, ‘Lord, to whom shall we go? You [alone] have the words of eternal life [you are our only hope].’”

Do we want answers to our many unanswered questions? Then we need to start speaking the only Name who can help us and the only words that will make a difference. So, a few more unanswered questions:

When will the Church wake up? When will God’s people, those who claim to know Him, stand up and walk in what we say we believe? When will we put our hope in God alone and cry out the name of Jesus? When will we proclaim His Word more than we speak all other names and all other words?
