Vernon Daniel Finkle, Jr., of Livingston Manor, passed away on Monday, February 1, 2021. He was 53.

He was the son of Vernon Daniel Finkle, Sr., and June M. Austin, born on February 26, 1967 in Liberty, NY.

Vernon loved his family first, he enjoyed fishing, playing cards with “the guys” and camp life. He was a “gentle giant with a kind soul”, he accepted you as you are. He will always be remembered by those who loved him as a good man, a gentle giant.

He is survived by his father Vernon D. Finkle (Dawn); siblings Judith Camara and Arthur W. Finkle (April); nieces and nephews June Rogers (Warren), Lee Jones, Jr., Christine Finkle, Arthur Finkle, Jr., Nathaniel Irwin, Dakota Finkle and Anneliese Finkle; great-nieces and nephew Ashley Rogers (Shakree Gibson), Amber Rogers, and Glenn Rogers; great-great niece arriving in June; his extended family Andy Hinkley and his family, Leslie Lofrese and Rub Smith; as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins.

The family would like to extend their thanks to the doctors and nurses in the ICU at Garnet Health Medical Center for the care during Vernon's time of need.

A memorial visitation will be held from 9am to 12pm on Friday, February 5, 2021 at Colonial-Bryant Funeral Home, 29 Pearl Street, Livingston Manor, NY 12758. Guidelines set forth by the State of New York will be followed, masks and social distancing are required at all times.
