On Saturday, June 17th, early voting begins for the June 27th primary. Most Sullivan County Registered Republicans will have only one item on the ballot to vote for, the District Attorney race. Prior to voting, you must do your homework about the race. If you don’t, you will be confused as to who to vote for, as there are two names on the Republican party line. Only one of the persons is a registered Republican. Thomas Cawley is the only registered Republican running for District Attorney for the June 27th primary.
I normally don’t write Letters to the Editor, however in speaking with numerous voters in recent weeks, most people are not aware of the FACT that Thomas Cawley is the only candidate running that is a REGISTERED REPUBLICAN. Many Republicans say to me, ‘why would I vote in a Republican primary for a registered Democrat?” Tom Cawley’s opponent is NOT a registered Republican, his opponent is a registered Democrat and will be on the ballot in November running on the Democrat party line. In addition, Thomas Cawley is an attorney with more than 30 years’ experience as an attorney, including seven years working in the Sullivan County District Attorney’s office and 21 years in the Sullivan County Attorney’s office. His opponent has four years of experience as an attorney. Experience matters.
If you want a choice for the Sullivan County District Attorney’s race in November 2023, you must vote for Thomas Cawley in the June 27th primary (or in early voting). Thomas Cawley must win the June 27th, otherwise his name won’t appear on the ballot in November.
So please share the above information with your Republican family, friends, and neighbors. On June 27th, please vote for Thomas Cawley, the only Registered Republican running for District Attorney.
