Warren E. Doetsch, age 85, of Middletown, NY formerly of Callicoon, NY passed away peacefully on March 23 at Garnet Health Medical Center.

He was born to Charles and Helen (Dorrer )Doetsch on February 21, 1936 in North Branch, NY. Warren attended Jeffersonville Central School and graduated from Albany College of Pharmacy in 1958. He married Ruth Stiene Doetsch on June 2, 1956.

He worked as a pharmacist for 43 years. He owned the Callicoon Pharmacy for fifteen years and owned and worked at various pharmacies in the area until his retirement from the NYS Department of Corrections in 2001. For 23 years Warren owned the Callicoon Movie Theatre with James F. Roche. He was a member of the DVCS Board of Education, Callicoon Kiwanis Club and St. John's Lutheran Church.

Warren had a quick witted sense of humor and enjoyed being a prankster. He kept his family entertained until the end.

Survivors include his wife Ruth; children Warren Jr.; Lori Dolce (Peter) and their children Kristina and Thomas; Holly Meyer (Brad) and their children Stacey (Kevin), Chad and Sylvia; Deirdre Burns (Richard) and their children Andrew and Regina and Darren (Viola) and their children Jessica, Maximilian, Candace; and five great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Gloria Stevens and brother David Doetsch; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, Gerald Doetsch and Eugene Doetsch.

There will be a private memorial service at St. John's Lutheran Church, Middletown, NY at the convenience of the family. Donations can be made to the Delaware Youth Center, PO Box 354, Callicoon, NY 12723 or St. John's Lutheran Church, 391 Mount Hope Road, Middletown, NY 10940.
