William Wagner, beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away Sunday, April 27, 2025 at Westchester Medical Center. He was 68.

The son of the late Edward Wagner and Carmela Wagner, he was born March 4, 1957 in New York City.

Known for his big personality and bold presence, William was a proud 50-year member of the New York City District Council of Carpenters and devout family man. Despite long hours working hard to give his family the best life he could, he still managed to find time as the Vice President of Monticello Little League for over 15 years, where he also coached all of his children’s teams.

He is survived by his wife, Olga of 40 years; his children William Wagner II and wife Julia, Edward Wagner and wife Leanne, Robert Wagner and Jessica Wagner; and two grandchildren Evelyn and Isabelle. He is also survived by his sisters Debra Wagner Poulos and her husband Thenny, Laura Wagner Francella, Janet Wagner Poccia and Elizabeth Wagner, as well as many nieces and nephews.

William is predeceased by cherished family members “Uncle” Robert Wagner and Nicholas Poccia Jr.

Visitation will be from 4-8pm Tuesday, May 6, 2025 at the Edwards-Dowdle Funeral Home in Dobbs Ferry, NY. Funeral Services will be held at 10am Wednesday, May 7, 2025 at Sacred Heart Church in Dobbs Ferry, NY. Edwardsdowdle.com.
