Woods back on the course

The last pictures golf fans witnessed of anything about golf legend Tiger Woods was when he sustained severe injuries in a single vehicle roll-over car crash on February 23.

Tiger suffered such extensive injuries to his right leg that doctors thought at first it might need to be amputated.

Golf fans throughout the world were able to view the PNC Orlando, Florida Championship the weekend of December 18-19 and guess what folks, Tiger was back playing with his son, Charlie Woods, who certainly looks like he is following in his father’s footsteps.

Woods in a tournament interview said that in the February 23 accident he suffered open fractures to his right tibia and fibia.

The PNC Tournament allows former major champions to compete alongside their family members. He played with his son for the first time last year, finishing seventh out of twenty foursomes.

This year Tiger and Charlie finished in second place behind John Daly and his son John Daly II.

According to an article in USA Today, this first tournament for Tiger saw him competing and riding in a golf cart but if Tiger continues competing in the PGA Tour, it won’t be with the help of a golf cart. He reportedly shot down the idea that he would request a golf cart. Woods made it clear he is a long way to being able to play in a PGA tour event.

The only thing one could visually see different about Tiger’s game was a slight limp but overall being the first time in competition since the Feb. accident he struck the ball well and had his A game while putting.

It’s good to see Tiger back out on the golf course and recovering from his major injuries.
