Cleaning up the community

Liberty High School Science Teacher and National Honor Society (NHS) Advisor Cindy Nolan, who drives on State Route 52 each day for her work commute, noticed an area where clean-up was needed. She asked her NHS students if they'd like to get some community service hours, which they complete each year, by helping clean-up part of their community. Ten of her kids answered the call. They met on May 1 in the Dunkin Donuts Parking Lot and picked up trash on the hill between Tractor Supply and TLC for Young Children. Particiating students (pictured above) were Joshua Abreu, Karla Garcia, Emily Lutz, John Nolan, Dylan Parks,

Melana Quick-Lepke, Boise Sellers,

Abigail Simmons, Zandy Vasquez Bamac and Jackson Wolcott.
