David Dale Stucker, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 25, 2024. He was born in Susquehanna, PA on January 14, 1971 to William and Yvonne (Brustman) Stucker. He grew up in Callicoon Center and spent the last years of his life in the Sherburne area.

Dave was a 35 year member of the Callicoon Center Fire Department and achieved the position of Second Assistant Chief. In his younger years, Dave enjoyed hunting and has a collection of rifles and knives. His greatest times were spent with family. The adventures were vast and involved building projects, playing games, traveling and family meals. His greatest joy in life was his son, Jonathan, who survives. He referred to him as his “Mini Me’ and also nicknamed him “Rabbi Bibel Babel”. He was the brightest light of his life.

Dave is also survived by his honorary daughters, Ashlee Norris, and Allison (Dave) Burton; his mother, Yvonne Schmidt; his brother, George Schmidt; his god-parents, Joel Brustman and Brenda Donovan. Dave was married to Jill (Dennis Empet) and they remained the best of friends to the end. Dave was predeceased by his father, William J. Stucker, of Susquehanna; his paternal grandparents, Archie and Gladys Stucker, of Susquehanna; his stepfather, Donald Schmidt, of Callicoon Center; and his maternal grandparents, George and Yvonne Brustman, of Jeffersonville.

A memorial service for Dave will take place at 2:00pm on Sunday, May 5, at Crossroads Community Church, 351 State Highway 12B, Sherburne. The family will receive friends at the church on Sunday from 1:00pm until the time of service. An additional service will take place at the Callicoon Center Fire Department on Sunday, May 19, where friends are invited to call from 1:00-2:00pm with a brief service at 2:00.

Arrangements have been entrusted to R.J. Fahy Funeral Home in Norwich.
