LIBERTY – All are invited to attend the 19th Annual Liberty Museum & Arts Center Poetry Festival, to be held at the Museum at 46 South Main Street in Liberty on Saturday, September 26. Reading will begin at 1:00 p.m.

As always, there will be a lineup of works by local poets as well as out-of-area guests, returning as well as "new" participants, former and current laureates, and a variety of topics and styles - from serious and thoughtful to whimsical and fun - that is, something for everybody to enjoy.

A limited number of guests may be invited to join in an open mic at the end of the program, if time allows - one poem, sign-up prior to the start of the scheduled readings.

Following the event, a reception with light refreshments will honor the readers and allow time for greeting the poets, and of course, viewing the museum's current displays.

Admission is free. Please keep in mind, however, that the museum depends upon the generosity of guests, so donations are always appreciated.
