SOUTH FALLSBURG – Sullivan County Dramatic Workshop transforms the Rivoli stage into a magical chaotic dream with its modern take on Shakespeare’s classic “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.”  Artfully directed by Sally Gladden, this updated version brings fresh energy and creativity to the play’s timeless themes of love, magic, and transformation. Blending timeless humor and music, you will come away with a new appreciation of “Willy” Shakespeare.

The play consists of several interconnecting plots, culminating in the celebration of the wedding of Duke Theseus of Athens and the Amazon queen Hippolyta. Most of the action occurs in the woodland realm of Fairyland, under the light of the moon. You will delight in this staged reading as a fine example of Community Theatre as our local, talented thespians of many ages interpret Shakespeare’s rollicking story.

Performances are at the Rivoli Theatre, 5243 Main Street, South Fallsburg on Fridays and Saturdays, September 18, 19 and October 2, 3 at 7:30 PM, and Sundays, September 20 and October 4 at 2:00 PM.  General admission - $15, Seniors, Students, Military - $12.
