MILFORD, PA – The Grey Towers Heritage Association will host “Art at the Towers: An Open-Air Art Show and Fair” on Saturday, April 25th from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM (rain date: Sunday, April 26th) on the historic grounds of Grey Towers.

This plein air event offers visitors a unique opportunity to observe artists at work, gain insight into their creative techniques, and experience the artistic process firsthand. The Pinchot family—renowned for their leadership in conservation and social justice—were also devoted patrons of the arts. James and Mary Pinchot supported and hosted many artists of the Hudson River School who found inspiration in Milford and its surrounding landscapes, including Sanford Gifford, John Weir, and Worthington Whittredge.

“This open-air art show carries on a cherished family tradition,” said Don Allen, board member and event coordinator. “The Pinchots understood the importance of nurturing creativity and supporting emerging talent. We are proud to continue that legacy by providing a platform for local artists to share their work with the community.”

The event will feature a diverse range of artistic styles and mediums. Visitors are encouraged to engage with artists, learn about their creative processes, and purchase original works.

Set against the backdrop of one of Milford’s most iconic historic sites, attendees can enjoy a relaxed and inspiring day exploring the grounds while discovering the talents of the region’s vibrant artistic community. The event is free and open to the public, continuing the Pinchot tradition of making art and culture accessible to all.
