Nearly forty Kiwanians from seven different clubs enjoyed a Steak Bake and meeting on Monday, August 17 at the Delaware Community Center in Callicoon.
The Divisional Meeting brings clubs from throughout the Hudson River West Division to report on each club’s activities and what is happening on the Kiwanis calendar for the next several months.
Lt. Governor Christine Mahoney talked about several upcoming Kiwanis initiatives and welcomed all the clubs to the event. She also helped install four new members into the Callicoon Kiwanis Club, which has been supporting youth activities for more than 75 years.
“We are delighted to be able to host the Divisional Meeting and look forward to a busy fall,” Callicoon President Trish Ellmauer said. She reported on all the scholarships the club handed out as well as the more than $15,000 which the club donated in support of youth-related organizations in the great Callicoon area.
Attending the event were Kiwanians from the Callicoon, Chester, Middletown, Minisink Valley, Monticello, Shawangunk Valley, and Woodridge clubs.
