ELDRED — Catskills Pride, a nonprofit organization dedicated to nurturing, supporting, and advancing the LGBTQIA+ community and itsallies throughout the Catskills region, today announced five new members of its Board of Directors, effective September 9, 2026: Dan Koday (Vice President), Doug Ray (Treasurer), Sarah Halpern (Secretary), Lucas Sifuentes, and Lynn Morales-Croker.
“As Catskills Pride continues to grow, having board members with this range of experience, from media and
higher education to nonprofit advocacy, positions us well for the work ahead. We’re grateful for the dedication
of our continuing board members, and for the contributions of those who served before them in building the
foundation we stand on today,” said Omar Osbourne, President of Catskills Pride.
Together, the five new board members bring tenured experience working with nonprofit organizations, prior board leadership, demonstrated support and advocacy for the LGBTQIA+ community, and complementary industry expertise spanning media, higher education, and community engagement.
Dan Koday, Vice President, is a travel and lifestyle journalist and content consultant who has dedicated much of his career to advancing LGBTQ+ representation and inclusivity in media. A graduate of Fordham University at Lincoln Center, he previously held leadership roles in media, including Managing Editor at Time Inc. (now People Inc.) and Digital Director for Teen Vogue. He splits his time between the New York City area and Narrowsburg. A lover of animals, he has volunteered with animal transport organizations and served on LGBTQ+ committees since his time at university.
Doug Ray, Treasurer, brings more than 30 years of media and advertising leadership to Catskills Pride’s board, including nearly 20 years at Carat and dentsu, where as CEO he partnered with GLAAD to advance the company’s LGBTQIA+ workplace advocacy and collaborated with equalpride, owner of Out and The Advocate, to produce a special edition of the award-winning podcast, “More Than That with Gia Peppers.” He is the founder of Ray Media Advisory, a consultancy for agencies, marketers, publishers, and adtech companies, where he also serves on several advisory boards. He is a former board member of Bideawee and Effie Worldwide, where he remains active on committees.
Sarah Halpern, Secretary, is a freelance social media and content strategist based in Livingston Manor, New York, and a fourth-generationLivingston Manor resident whose deep local roots inform her work across tourism, arts, and hospitality. She spent ten years in the music industry before founding her own marketing agency in Chicago and now handles social media for clients including the Eddie Adams Workshop and Driftwood Ranch.
Lucas Sifuentes has been a higher education leader for 25 years in both private and public university settings, with a career focused on expanding access to higher education for students who might not otherwise have it. He serves as Dean and Chief Enrollment Officer at the CityUniversity of New York and has called Sullivan County home for the past five years.
Lynn Morales-Croker (she/her) is a human services professional with expertise in sociology and years of experience in nonprofit work, advocacy, youth development, and community engagement. A graduate of Johnson & Wales University and SUNY Orange, she is deeply committed to advancing equity and belonging for historically underserved communities, and her commitment to service was recognized with the 2026 Distinguished Service Award from the Sullivan County Chamber of Commerce.
The five new members join continuing board leaders Omar Osbourne (President), Sam Mullins, and Frank Guzmán, who remain on the Board of Directors and whose ongoing leadership continues to guide the organization’s work across the Catskills region.
