BEACH LAKE – Friday Friends United Women in Faith invites the community to a special Earth Day celebration on Saturday, April 26, from 10am to 12pm in front of the Beach Lake United Methodist Church at 7 Milanville Road in Beach Lake behind the Fire Hall. This family-friendly event will feature hands-on activities that promote environmental stewardship and community engagement.

Participants will have the opportunity to plant their own seeds in a recyclable container to take home, fostering a connection with nature and sustainable practices. A seed exchange will also be available for those looking to share and discover new plant varieties. Additionally, the event will highlight the climate justice initiatives of United Women in Faith and provide information on the community garden, encouraging local involvement in sustainable food practices

“This event is a great way for individuals and families to celebrate Earth Day by taking simple, meaningful steps toward sustainability,” said Allison Francesco, who also serves as a National Director of United Women in Faith. “We hope to inspire our community to connect with our creator, the earth, and with each other.”
