Celebrating the best in hospital cleanliness

HONESDALE, PA – Wayne Memorial Hospital (WMH) is among the top 20 hospitals across Pennsylvania receiving a 5-star rating for cleanliness, that’s according to a recent survey by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). The national 04/29 survey by Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) was conducted over a one-year period, April 2023 through March 2024 and updated earlier this year.

WMH is ranked 12th in Pennsylvania out of 162 facilities surveyed across the state, and 107 out of 4,769 facilities nationwide. “It’s a good feeling to know that our collaboration of employees that make it happen, is recognized,” said Chief Facilities Officer Tim Huber. The ranking demonstrates the results of a standardized survey of hospital patients about their experiences during a recent inpatient hospital stay. “Cleanliness in our facilities is a top priority and our employees thoroughly uphold that responsibility,” he added.
