MONTICELLO — It was all Charlie’s Angels Thursday night at Collins Field, as they rolled past Krupp Construction with a dominant 20–3 victory in five innings.
The Angels jumped ahead early. Shortstop Katy Decker blasted a hit down the third base line that reached the fence, bringing in two runs and nearly turning it into an infield home run. Rachel Countryman, playing second base, followed with a clean hit up the middle to keep the rally going.
On the mound, Jo Walls, a seasoned veteran with 51 years of softball experience, kept Krupp’s bats quiet with a poised and steady presence throughout the game.
In the outfield, Maggi Fitzpatrick, patrolling center field, made key plays defensively and helped drive the offense forward. Meanwhile, Samantha Cummings, holding down short field, delivered a powerful hit in the second inning that sparked a scoring surge.
Krupp Construction managed a run in the second, but the Angels stormed back. With aggressive hitting and smart baserunning, they stretched their lead to 8–1. In the third inning, Fitzpatrick reached second on a line drive. Decker followed with a triple, and Rachel Countryman brought her in with another RBI, making it 14–2 by the end of the inning.
Krupp would go on to score once more, but the Angels responded with six additional runs before closing out the final inning, sealing an overwhelming 20–3 victory.
