WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS – White Sulphur Springs Community Beautification is excited to announce some upcoming events in the hamlet of White Sulphur Springs. On Saturday, May 3, from 10am-12pm we will be holding our 2nd Annual White Sulphur Springs Day. Stop by the famous WSS Big Chair next to the WSS Inn and see what is going on in White Sulphur Springs. We will have information on our gardens and the pond along with information from local Scout units, WSS United Methodist Church and Vacation Bible School, WSSFD and Ladies Auxiliary. Free activities for kids such as games, painting birdhouses to hang around WSS and plantings that children can bring home. At 11am we will be recognizing the local youth who contributed to our beautification efforts. We invite everyone to check out the beautifully decorated Peace Poles throughout the hamlet. Refreshments will be served.

On Tuesday, May 6 at 6pm  all are welcome to join our annual Community Litter Pluck. We will meet in the WSS United Methodist Church parking lot and then go out and clean up our roads. Please bring work gloves and we will supply the bags.

Registration is open for our Annual Golf Outing to benefit our Community Beautification efforts. This year’s outing will be 18 holes and held on June 21 at Lochmor Golf Course with registration at 8am and Shotgun start at 8:30am.  $100/person for 18 holes and lunch. We will have a great raffle, 50/50 and other fun games. For more information on the golf outing please call 796-8237 or 292-7257.

The support we’ve received from our Community has allowed our group to not only maintain beautiful gardens and make the Route 52 corridor more attractive throughout WSS,  it has allowed us to be good neighbors and help our surrounding Community. We believe you cannot be more beautiful than helping with basic human needs. For more information on WSS Community Beautification please contact 292-2683 or nesposito@hvc.rr.com or check out our events on Facebook at White Sulphur Springs Community Beautification.
