MONGAUP VALLEY –– The rain almost interfered with yet another Collin’s Field softball matchup, but the showers left as quickly as they came in. Krupp’s Contracting and Danny’s Auto went head-to-head this past Tuesday night on the mound for the third time this season, making the tally 3-0, Danny’s with the advantage.

The two teams are scheduled to meet again on Monday, 7/14, and return to Collins Field. Danny’s Auto racked up 3 runs in the first and second innings but were held scoreless by the home team in the third.

Krupp would dish out the same treatment in the bottom of the third inning, closing it out with no runs scored by either team. Danny’s held an 8-2 lead as they headed into the fifth inning, where Krupp turned up their offensive play, getting around the diamond three times, including a run by Talia Pless and Kelsey Kurthy. But that was all they had left in the tank as Danny’s took control of the last three innings, cutting off Krupp and winning the game 11-5.
