MILFORD, PA - The Delaware Valley Dance Company will perform the ballet “Don Quixote” on Saturday, May 17 at 5 p.m. at the Delaware Valley High School Auditorium, 256 US-6, Milford, PA.

Don Quixote is a ballet in three acts, based on episodes from Miguel de Cervantes’ novel of the same name. It was first choreographed by Marius Petipa to the music of Ludwig Minkus and premiered in Moscow in 1869. The ballet follows the adventures of Don Quixote, Sancho Panza, and the romance between Kitri and Basilio, incorporating elements of Spanish dance and music.

The role of Kitri will be danced by Bella Theodore, a senior at Port Jervis High School, and the role of Basilio will be danced by Minisink Valley High School graduate Tyler Powley. The role of Don Quixote is played by Joe Annicaro.

Tickets cost $15 for adults, $10 for children and seniors, and will be available at the door. The Dance Center is located in Sparrowbush, NY and offers classes in ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop and contemporary for ages three and up. For more information, call The Dance Center at 845-856-3373.
