NARROWSBURG — On Saturday, November 1 at 7pm and Sunday, November 2 at 2pm, the Delaware Valley Arts Alliance (DVAA) will present Diner Stories, a new play based on local playwright, Tiffany Esteb’s short piece, Diner. The play follows Marisela, a young immigrant from El Salvador, who is hired at a small-town diner. But her arrival unsettles the fragile balance among the waitstaff and the owner. As tensions rise, buried histories and personal struggles surface, revealing the complex realities of camaraderie, identity, and survival in a world of precarious work.
Post-performance talkbacks at both performances will be facilitated by Angela D’Aiuto, Catskill Regional Coordinator, Rural & Migrant Ministry. Performances take place at the Tusten Theatre, 210 Bridge Street in Narrowsburg, NY. Advance tickets are $25 for adults ($20 DVAA Members) and door tickets are $30 for adults ($25 DVAA Members). Children under 12 are free. For more information, visit delawarevalleyartsalliance.org.
