FALLSBURG – The Fallsburg Comets struggled to hit their groove last week as the Burke Eagles nearly shut out the home team 7-1. The Comets found the goal late in the last quarter before the final whistle blew. The Eagles provided balanced attacks on offense and denied the Comets’ offensive attempts throughout the game keeping the pressure on. Fallsburg’s star player Paola Deras was out with an injury from the previous game, leaving a noticeable void in the leadership on the field. The Comets will be back on the field on Tuesday, October 13 at 5:30 pm against Port Jervis.

Fallsburg advanced their record to 2-6 with their 2-0 win over the Eldred Yellowjackets on Wednesday, October 7.
